Mark Wentworth, Colour PsychoDynamic Practitioner and Daniela Simmons, PhD, Board Certified Trainer, Educator, Practitioner (TEP) in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy
Wednesday, March 6th, 2019
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Central Time (US and Canada)
Everywhere you look, color just is: we use it to decorate our homes, we use it to express our personality in our clothing style and advertisers use it to sell. These seemingly innocent shades and tones even exist in our language, we talk about “seeing red” or being “green with envy” and on some days we just have a dose of “the blues”. Carl Jung talked about color belonging to realms of archetypes and symbolism and J.L. Moreno used different colored lighting on stage to denote different feeling states or different scenes from the protagonists life.
In this introductory presentation we will explore through action methods our own relationship to color to see what stories it reveals about where we are on life’s journey so far. By discovering and learning more about your own personal color you will learn how you can put this into practice to re-center from the inside out. When we give action, voice and expression to color, we can compassionately guide our clients and ourselves to reconnect with the autonomous healing center that exists within each of us. This then is our very own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Come join us on a journey into the color worlds, they are all excitingly waiting to meet you.
